Evelyn Fougère, age 72, passed away at her residence, Pro Tem Care, on Thursday, August 30, 2001 after a lenghty illness.

Born in Dover, NB, she was the daughter of the late Evans Powell and Grace Chapman. She was a retired switchboard operator for Eaton's.

She is survived by her husband, Zoël Fougère; four daughters, Gloria (Donald) LeBlanc, Dieppe, Eloïse (Raymond) Mutch, Newcastle, Rose-Mae (late Blaine) Matchett, Moncton, Paula (Brian) Kinney, Moncton; one sister, Pauline (Jasper) Black, Wittman, Mass; two brothers, Gorden (Shirley) Powell, Fredericton; Jack (Iris) Powell, Dover; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, George, in 1988; one sister, Kathleen; two brothers, Frank and Fred.

Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home, with visiting hours on Sunday, September 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday, September 3 from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral services will be held at Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d’en-Haut on Monday, September 3, 11:00am. Interment in Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Cemetery in Pré-d’en-Haut.
